RM #Sotheby’s is delighted to announce that its biennial sale at Villa Erba, held in partnership with the revered #Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, will feature some incredible BMWs, a marque synonymous with the famed Concorso. Recently consigned is The M Power Collection, an exotic array of M cars featuring standout models from a number of generations of BMW’s legendary M3 and M4.

The first of The M Power Collection is a 1990 BMW M3 Sport Evolution. One of just 600 Sport Evolution variants of the landmark E30 M3, this example has been finished in Brilliantrot over a black interior and was specified new with the highly desirable electronic damper control (Estimate: €180,000—€220,000). Also on offer is a 2003 BMW M3 CSL, the ultimate example of the E46 M3, and boasting a remarkable 110-kilogram weight loss compared to the conventional M3 of the same generation. This example is presented in Grey Metallic paint and has only two owners over its 20-year life (Estimate: €120,000—€160,000).

Another exotic model is the 2010 BMW M3 GTS, an extreme sport version of the standard M Sport derivative. Boasting a limited-production run of just 150 units, this is one of the rarest M variants ever produced. Finished in its striking Fire Orange colour, this example underwent serious weight-saving to get it to GTS specification, plus an increase in engine capacity from 4.0 to 4.4 litres and a titanium exhaust silencer (Estimate: €150,000—€200,000).

Also on offer from The M Power Collection is a 2016 BMW M4 GTS, which, finished in its menacing and rare colour of Frozen Dark Grey, is a serious track-focused road car. Featuring an adjustable front splitter and rear wing making it fully optimised for track work, the model proved its credentials when it lapped the Nürburgring in just seven minutes and twenty-eight seconds (Estimate: €100,000—€150,000). This fine collection is rounded off with a 2022 BMW M4 CSL, built last year to commemorate BMW M’s 50th birthday. Re-igniting the CSL nomenclature, this was another example that was produced by BMW to be the ultimate in the range of M4s, with the 3.0 straight-6 producing a stonking 550 horsepower and going from 0—100 kilometres per hour in just 3.7 seconds (Estimate: €170,000—€230,000).
